Where is it, how do you get in?
One of the Coves on the SE side of the inlet to Port Atheni. Meganisi Trivial Entry.
Shelter & Holding?
Best shelter of all the Atheni coves. Holding seemed fine.
Remarks:
Best shelter of all the coves yet nodody seems to choose this one to anchor. The road isn't as intrusive as it seems on the Chart. Not very special but if you want a cove to yourslef near Atheni this is a good bet. There's a Taverna and Shop within walking distance.

Where is it, how do you get in?
From the North go along the East side of Atoko until you see a wedge shaped cave. It's not in Heikell's pilot guide. We stood someone on the foredeck looking for rocks in the clear water and approached from due west. We saw no hazards but you'd be wise to keep your own rock lookout!
Shelter & Holding?
No shelter at all from anything approaching an onshore wind - but how much shelter do you need in the Ionian night? The sea bed seemed mostly boulders but there were sand patched to drop the hook on!
Remarks:
Incredible. See the brightly coloured fish, swim into the cave and, I think, you can be sure nobody will be joining you here! It's yours for the night (or the lunch).

Where is it, how do you get in?
South Tip of Meganisi, nestled behind Kithros is a cliff bay shaped like the Nike symbol. Easy entry (but cliffs are intimidating.)

Sheltered from N and W. Poor holding. There is some weedy sand but mainly boulders.
Remarks:
Incredible. Anchored underneath cliffs. Intimidating approach. Only room for one boat so if you get there first it's yours and few people seem to know of it. Careful swimming near to the cliffs - a chunk of cliff fell off while we were there.

Shelter & Holding?
Exposed to East. Gravel bottom, not brilliant holding but little weed.
Remarks:
Plenty of firewood about. If you find there's already a boat in there there's countless other nearby bays to anchor in without having to share.

Exposed to E, N side better. Average holding.
Remarks:
Not really properly remote - a few boats in there when we were there but the tumble down stone building by the tree in the N bay is beautiful.
. Ok, you have to share it but it's nice, isn't it?
